The Orca K-8 Walkathon is a health and wellness event and fundraiser for the Orca K-8 PTSA and Orca programs.
On Thursday, June 16th, Orca K-8 elementary students walked 1.5 miles on the new Orca playground track (that’s 9 times around!) to raise money for the Orca K-8 PTSA. DJ Josh pumped out the tunes to keep spirits and energy high! Each walker received a pedometer (thank you Sound Transit!) to count each step.
Orca K-8 PTSA funds many of the unique programs at the school, including the Garden Program, Instrumental Band, and Race Forum, as well as providing classroom supplies. With your help, students will be able to engage in this fun, healthy, school-wide event to support their own learning. Thanks in advance for pledging to support Orca K-8 students and supporting the Orca K-8 PTSA.
We raised over $10,000 at the June 2016 Walkathon to fund Orca K-8 Programs!
Next Orca K-8 Playathon will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016.
