What is the Orca PTA Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is the central fundraiser of the Orca PTSA.  At Orca, we all belong, and our community thrives because our families invest time, energy and support into our school’s PTSA.  Every dollar donated through the Annual Fund supports our children and our community.

 Why should I give?

100% of your contribution will go to our school, and your entire contribution is tax deductible.  Every penny that you give will go directly to programs that benefit all 500 students at Orca K-8. Our goal for the 2013 -14 school year is $40,000 with 100% participation from our families.

 Where does my money go?

In supporting the Annual Fund, we will continue to provide PTSA-sponsored programs and resources that enrich our children and our community, such as:

  • Orca’s one of a kind garden program
  • Band
  • Classroom supplies for teachers
  • Fieldtrip and Camp Scholarships
  • After School Programs through Powerful Schools
  • Safety and Emergency supplies
  • Art supplies
 How do I donate?

Every family is urged to give what they can with a suggested donation of $250 per student.  Payments can be made in one lump sum or through regular monthly contributions.  Please consider asking family members to contribute as well.  Grandparents are some of our biggest supporters!  It’s easy, and all donations are tax deductible.   You can pay in various ways:


Make checks payable to Orca PTSA and return with your first week PTSA packet.  Checks can also be mailed to: Orca PTSA, PO Box 18039 , Seattle WA 98118

The PTSA is setting up a PayPal account where you can make regular monthly contributions online.  Please look for more information on that system coming soon or contact Sabranie Coyne for more details.


Your donation of money or time may be eligible for corporate matching.  Please fill out the necessary forms from your company and contact the PTSA Treasurer or Sabranie Coyne you need additional assistance.
